A

Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is a nucleotide used in cells as a coenzyme to capture chemical energy obtained from the breakdown of food molecules and releases it to fuel other cellular processes. It is often called the “molecular unit of currency”

ATP allows the cell to store energy briefly and transports chemical energy within cells for metabolism to support endergonic chemical reactions. This energy-carrying molecule found in the cells of all living things. Every cell uses ATP for energy. The structure of ATP consists of an RNA nucleotide with three phosphates attached.
